Waldo, OH - Kings Mill Golf Club, located at 2500 Berringer Rd. in Waldo, Ohio, has been recognized as one of Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play" for 2008 - 2009. This year's award ranks over 6,000 golf courses in North America and the Islands. The award cites Kings Mill Golf Club as "Very Good! Tell a friend it is worth getting off the highway to play. " John Russell, Vice President, stated: "We are very proud to have been named as one of Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play" for 2008 - 2009. We provide golfers with a challenging round of golf by maintaining our course well. We stay green by being green and enviormentally friendly." Russell references the utilization of the Olentangy River to provide water for the grounds and the recent removal of a swarm of honey bees from the practice green as two such examples. Russell also congratulated the staff at Kings Mill Golf Club, stating: "Our friendly and helpful staff make the Kings Mill experience pleasant for beginners and seasoned golfers alike." Kings Mill Golf Club is a Jack Kidwell desigined course created in 1966. Nestled along the Olentangy River in southern Marion County, Kings Mill is a mixture of hills, flat terrain, and rolling grounds which combine to provide a very scenic and enjoyable round of golf.
